I see, we have different attitudes towards Latin
(The teacher you like teaches this subject, doesn't he?)
I've been told that Latin would be very helpful for learning other languagues, that's why I chose it, but till now I don't have the impression. My grades aren't bad, but I always have the feeling of wasting my time. Languages are made to communicate, but whom can I communicate with in Latin?
I think such a meeting could be nice, but to be honest I would be too afraid to come. You share all those personal problems and stuff you wouldn't even tell your best friends on the Internet because it's rather anonymous so I imagine it to be a very awkward feeling being with people you've never seen before but who know almost everything about you...
@ tannenbaum: "learning by doing"
Honestly, the best way to learn a language is to use it and to become used to it. You could listen to English radio stations or watch British/American TV series if possible. Books are also very helpful. There are some books for students which are easier to understand with vocabulary etc.
