I'm in grade 12 right now and it's gettin' more and more earnestly...

So this for today... I'm going to go to sleep right now.
Sleep well, my dears ;)

Hm I actually don't care whether it's earnestly oder seriously, to my mind that doens't matter.
Trying to speak English perfectly in school is enough for me.
But I remember that I asked you for correcting me if you think it's necessary...

despite the fact that you wrote "thread" as "theard" everything was right I think.

My former English teacher's very nice and I think that he likes me a lot, but my present teacher ...hmm.... terror is her middle name...
She simply is disabled or what is an English-Leistungskurs-teacher supposed to be called who prefers to say "They had to come before court" (zum allgemeinen Verständnis: Sie mussten vors Gericht ^^) ???
Her lessons are terribly boring and due to the fact that I sit in the front row I can't do anything against it...
awwwwwwwwwwww

In form 7 to 10 I had an English teacher who was my class teacher simultaneously... And I have to confess that I was fairly in love with him  ... Unfortunately he left my school because he wanted to move to another town.
Actually he has a girlfriend who was his student before...
Sorry, my English is horrible this evening

Hm when he told us he would move my feelings weren't that heavy anymore ...
But he and my class, we keep contact, so as at e-mail .
He recently sent his new e-mail-address to me.
I resolve to tell him about my former feelings when he takes part at our Abiball... As you shurely can imagine I'm really curious about his reaction..........................

Hello Ladies...
first of all I have to say, that my english is not very well. But... i think, this thread is very funny. Today i wrote an english test ... oh it was horrible! This test was one of the most difficult I ever have seen!

I don't know what you mean with your last sentences... perhaps it was, before i found this wonderful board.
Doesn't matter.

Oh my godness! I can't imagine, that's terrible. I think I... in this case... I don't know, what I would have done. But in my opinion this is the worst thin, which could happen...

Hm well, there was a newspaper article and based on this article there were several questions. The article was very difficult to understand, not especially for me, but for us all. Usually i'm good in speaking english and i have good marks... 2.
Uhm Forums... i don't want to speak about this... it's.. my (dirty little) secret :P

Okay, I'll try to revive this topic, but honestly I don't have any idea what to write about. ^^

So... How is everything going?
At the moment I am pretty fucked with school. I don't get bad marks or stuff, but I've just lost all my motivation and though there are only about four weeks left to go, vacations seem to be sooo far away. I guess I've never been that demotivated. -.-

Are there any plans for the holidays?
I'm gonna spend 2 weeks in Italy with my family, but I don't have any plans for the remaining weeks yet. What about you?

Okay, that's hard to beat ;) But I hope you'll find a way to go on with school after summer break, because it would be a shame if you'd waste your potential.

Anyway, I'm longing to leave Germany too. Not the country in the first place, but all the problems and sorrows of my everyday life.
I'm sure France will be great! I'd really like to go there too, but I'm not sure if I'd get along because I made a big mistake an chose Latin instead of French as a school subject  *searching for a puking emoticon*

A meeting of the forum members would surely be interesting, but aren't there people from all over Germany?

I see, we have different attitudes towards Latin ;) (The teacher you like teaches this subject, doesn't he?)
I've been told that Latin would be very helpful for learning other languagues, that's why I chose it, but till now I don't have the impression. My grades aren't bad, but I always have the feeling of wasting my time. Languages are made to communicate, but whom can I communicate with in Latin?

I think such a meeting could be nice, but to be honest I would be too afraid to come. You share all those personal problems and stuff you wouldn't even tell your best friends on the Internet because it's rather anonymous so I imagine it to be a very awkward feeling being with people you've never seen before but who know almost everything about you...

@ tannenbaum: "learning by doing" ;)
Honestly, the best way to learn a language is to use it and to become used to it. You could listen to English radio stations or watch British/American TV series if possible. Books are also very helpful. There are some books for students which are easier to understand with vocabulary etc.

Sounds like he was a good teacher. I guess mine wouldn't ever be able to give a speech in Latin. He's a nice guy, but it doesn't change anything about the fact that his lessons are so goddamn boring...
It's interesting to know Finnish people do actually use Latin. I'll remember that If I'll ever meet someone from Finland ;)

But let's change topic, I don't want you to get melancholic.
Is there anything apart from school or (certain) teachers we could talk about?
Are there any plans for the weekend yet?
